Plan Approval
Local authorities differ in their
requirements regarding the format in which building
plans must be submitted. Most require only paper
copies, while some may still require a more permanent
or plastic copy. The amount of copies needed also
differ amongst authorities. inhouseplans.com therefore only provides paper copies, (as many
as required by the owner), and each customer should
ascertain from its local authority what format
is required. One set of plans provided on order
by inhouseplans.com will be colour coded
plus one black and white set as required by the
National Building Regulations - ready to be submitted
to your local authority.
Customers should also note that most local authorities
have a plan scrutiny fee payable. These scrutiny
fee structures vary amongst the different authorities,
but are usually based on the floor area of the
building and/or on the number of sanitary fittings
in the building.
